Lord, could we just sit here and talk a while,
And would you, please, share your loving smile
That I may, in love, as I live each gracious day
Share it with some hurting soul along life's way?

Lord, for so many years I have failed to show
Your grace and love to family and friends, I know,
Not thinking of others, just living selfishly..
Failing to be the Christian I have claimed to be.

Lord, help me as I pray and read your word...
Let me share with others the psalms I've heard...
Give me the grace to walk and talk of your love,
And be found telling others about heaven above.

Lord, I've missed so many times to shine my light,
Have failed time after time to win the fight.
I remember your forgiveness prayer on Calvary.
And may I forgive others as your forgave me.

Lord, today, you've been so kind and loving to me,
And have shown me what a Christian should be...
My heart is so thrilled to have this time with you,
And, I know, now, what you want me to do...

Let my love light shine in the dark of the world,
Have my faith-flag seen, completely unfurled...
After enjoying our time together...out lovely talk.
With the Comforter's help, I'll be walking the walk.
